Buildium Rewards
for ePay

Buildium Rewards for ePay is a rewards program that allows you to put money back in your pocket. When 75% or more of your rental residents use ePay, you can qualify for different reward amounts credited directly to your Buildium invoice. 

Only U.S.-based rental residents are included in adoption percentages and reward payouts. Associations are not included at this time.

Getting started is straightforward:

1. Make sure that ePay is enabled for your residents via the Resident Center.
2. Promote ePay to Your Residents: Encourage and show your residents how to make online payments.
3. Earn Rewards: Once 75% of your rental residents are making online payments, you automatically earn rewards, adding a new revenue stream to your business. The higher your adoption rate, the higher your account credits.

All Buildium property manager customers with rental properties in their portfolio and ePay enabled for those residents are eligible to participate in this program. Rewards automatically kick in once you hit 75% or more of ePay usage — no need to fill out any signup forms!

All Buildium property manager customers with rental properties in their portfolio and ePay enabled for those residents are able to participate in this program. Customers with 75% or more of rental residents making online payments through ePay are automatically eligible, opt-ed in, and rewarded. Rewards earned are delivered in the form of a statement credit on their Buildium invoice. The statement credit is calculated as an amount back on each eligible payment transaction (see Buildium Rewards ePay Tiers chart above).

To get started, you need only make sure ePay is turned on for your rental residents and encourage them to use it!

Example:
Here is a scenario for a property manager who has 100 residents who each paid $1000 in rent for July.

In this scenario:

• 75 residents choose to pay their rent via ePay
• 50 of those using ePay pay via ACH
• 25 of those using ePay pay via Credit/Debit card

This means the property manager has reached 75% epay adoption for that month which means they qualify for the Tier 1 reward of:

• 0.05% back on card transactions and $0.02 back on ACH transactions

Here’s how their reward would be calculated based on the tier 1 reward:

• ACH: 50 x $0.02 = $1.00
• CARD: $1,000 (rent payment) x .05% = 0.05 x 25 = $12.50
• TOTAL Buildium Rewards for ePay for the month of July = $13.50

Credits will be calculated and paid out two months in arrears on a monthly rolling basis, as a credit on your Buildium invoice. The credit will be applied to either the transactional or subscription invoice. If you are on an annual billing cycle for your Buildium subscription, the credit will be applied to your monthly transactional services invoice.
